Blocking of deep ITM/OTM stock options contracts
As per our risk management policies, we are disabling trading in illiquid (deep ITM/OTM) stock options contracts that are 30% more/less than their last traded price (LTP).
Why are we doing this
To comply with SEBI and ensure we don’t come under scrutiny for promoting illiquid trading
To manage risk of clients trading in deep ITM/OTM options that are illiquid
To prevent clients from taking positions without sufficient balances
while exiting (squaring off) .
